Steinbart Moves to Full-time Faculty

Miss Melody Steinbart will be transitioning to a full-time faculty role in the Department of Music in the Fall of 2022.

Steinbart holds an MM in Music Performance and String Pedagogy from East Carolina University and a BA in String Pedagogy from Maranatha Baptist University.

In addition to teaching at the university level, she leads the Orchestra, teaches at Maranatha Prep School, and operates Lake Country Strings. Her passion for music is displayed in the classroom and in her church ministry. She serves as the primary church pianist and oversees instrumental scheduling and offertories. Steinbart also serves as the lead teacher for the PeeWee children’s program and leads a monthly ladies’ Bible study.

Dr. David Ledgerwood, Chair of the Department of Music, shares, “I taught a class right after Melody, and it was encouraging to hear the students speak about what they learned in her classes. Melody’s teaching is always well-prepared, and her enthusiasm for her subject and desire to honor the Lord is contagious. She has provided our students a solid foundation in their music theory and history studies, given professional advice on all matters related to strings, and made a difference with her stellar Christian character. We are very excited to have her!”

Miss Steinbart will be taking on her new responsibilities in the Fall of 2022.
