Welcome Miss Reagan Bill to the Applied Science Faculty
We are pleased to announce Reagan Bill as the new Teaching Assistant in the Department of Applied Science. Reagan hails from Ringgold, Louisiana, where she grew up at Southland Christian Ministries. As a staff child, she heard the gospel from infancy and was saved at age six. Emulating her parents’ ministry example, she has enjoyed playing the piano at church, teaching Sunday School, and serving in various positions at camp and at Maranatha. Those who know her appreciate her effervescent joy.
“As a biology major, I have developed a love for science, and in being able to help with various study groups,” Reagan comments. Focusing on students who struggle, she adds, “I have also developed a love for teaching scientific concepts in a way that is easier to understand.” In this new role, she will assist students in analyzing data and understanding concepts and will prepare, supervise, and teach General Biology I and II, Microbiology, and Physics labs.
Dr. Lane Hansel, Chair of the Department of Applied Science, is enthusiastic about her appointment, saying, “We are thrilled to welcome Miss Reagan Bill to the Applied Science faculty this fall. A graduate of MBU with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Miss Bill is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Biological Sciences from Clemson University.
Miss Bill brings valuable experience to the department, having served for three years as a lab assistant in Applied Science. In that role, she played a key part in running lab sessions, facilitating study groups, and supervising and training new lab assistants. During her senior year, she completed a capstone project focused on DNA extraction from plant cells and plasmid work in E. coli, demonstrating her strong foundation in molecular biology techniques.
Her passion for both science and teaching is evident, and she is deeply committed to helping students thrive in their academic and professional journeys. We are excited to have her on board and look forward to the impact she will have on our students and the department.”
