The 4th Annual Leader to Leader Conference at MBU

March 5 – 6, 2026

Maranatha Baptist University’s School of Business is excited to host the fourth annual Leader to Leader Conference on our campus with a focus on living and leaving a legacy, on Thursday-Friday, March 5-6, 2026.

If you lead—or aspire to lead—in business, ministry, the nonprofit sector, or education, this conference is for you. Join students and professionals from a variety of vocations for opportunities to connect with others and experience personal growth.

Designed to encourage and challenge rising and current young leaders, this two-day event features keynote speakers, multiple breakout workshops, meals, campus events, and informal networking opportunities. Speakers share career experience, offer practical industry wisdom, and address trends and best practices in leadership.

Ken Barbic

Living a Legacy that Endures

Ken Barbic, a senior lobbyist with Invariant LLC, is a food, agriculture, and trade policy strategist who advises Fortune 500 companies and national associations on federal policy, political strategy, and engagement with Congress and the Executive Branch. He has built long-standing relationships with key policymakers on Capitol Hill and has served in the Trump and Bush Administrations, worked closely with USDA leadership, and supported the U.S. House Committee on Ways and Means. In his session, Ken will reflect on how ordinary obedience shapes both us and those around us, and why our ultimate hope rests in the Lord rather than in how we are remembered.

Managing Client Expectations in a Competitive Business Landscape

Eric Condron, senior group representative with Aflac®, drives business growth by building strong relationships with brokers and employers and guiding them through customized insurance solutions. In this session, Eric will share key principles for building a distinctive, confidence-inspiring brand, and will explain how managing expectations can set you apart, establish healthy boundaries, and reduce anxiety fueled by today’s “win at every cost” mentality.

Better Choices: Overcome Barriers of Natural Decision-Making

Steve Dwire, founder and technology leadership coach with Northway Insights LLC, brings over twenty years of experience leading software engineering and IT teams across startups and Fortune 100 companies. In this session, Steve will present the six stages of the natural human choice model and share tools to help leaders overcome cognitive biases, sharpen decision-making, and achieve clearer actions and stronger results.

David Kittle

Winning at Work, Losing Myself: The Road to Repentance

David Kittle, founding partner of The Mortgage Collaborative, rose from entry-level banking to ownership of multiple lending and title companies with accomplishments that include leading the National Mortgage Bankers Association, extensive media appearances, and testifying before Congress. In this candid session, David shares hard-earned lessons from personal failure and restoration, exploring true success through Christ, home, and work in proper balance.

Tony Kinnett is an investigative columnist and syndicated radio host, as well as a former award-winning teacher, instructional coach, and Indiana General Assembly policy advisor. As host of “The Tony Kinnett Cast,” The Daily Signal’s flagship simulcast, he brings news and commentary marked by candor and “Hoosier common sense.” In this session, Tony will explore what it means to plan faithfully when God redirects the path—developing skills, relationships, and readiness to serve wherever the Lord places you.

Q&A Panelist

Kyle Kutz, a private family office director, senior family office advisor, and senior partner at Blue Trust, advises clients on financial, estate, trust, and investment planning to help families steward wealth with clarity and purpose through a biblical worldview. Drawing on his experience working with entrepreneurs, families, and institutions, he will share practical insights and answer questions during the Q&A session.

Adam Morgan, ESQ

Leading Through Adversity

Adam Morgan, president of Majesty Music, is an attorney, composer, filmmaker, and radio host who has also served in the South Carolina House of Representatives as Chairman of the Transportation Committee and Founding Chairman of the South Carolina Freedom Caucus. His public service includes roles on the House Legislative Oversight and Education and Public Works Committees, along with national recognition such as the Conservative Excellence Award from ACU/CPAC. 

Dan Wood

Legacies Start Day 1

Dan Wood, executive director of the NCCAA since 2000, brings forty-four years of experience in Christian higher education as a coach, faculty member, and athletics administrator. In this session, Dan will explore how a God-honoring legacy is built through character, consistency, and work ethic, using the example of Christ to show how true leadership begins long before a formal title.

JOHN VOORHIS

Building a Business You Can Exit
From E-Commerce to the Altar

John Voorhis, is an entrepreneur and investor with a background in strategic sourcing and buying for The Home Depot in Atlanta. After leaving the corporate world to pursue entrepreneurship full time, he founded and scaled an e-commerce business that was successfully acquired by a private-equity firm. He is deeply passionate about entrepreneurship, leveraging business for gospel impact, and developing a culture of discipleship. In his first session, John will examine how success can subtly reorder priorities and how God reorients purpose and identity, beginning in the home. His second session will provide practical insight into building organizations that retain value beyond the founder through intentional structure and leadership.
