Ann Schmoeckel
Associate Professor
School of Nursing
Miss Ann Schmoeckel became part of the School of Nursing Faculty in 2016. As a Registered Nurse, she worked in the hospital as a float nurse, gaining experience in a variety of departments. While there, she assisted with hospital staff education and service on various hospital committees. She also helped physicians establish an outpatient surgery center and cared for patients before and after surgery. “Miss S”, as she is called by her students, teaches several different courses and is the Assistant Director for the School of Nursing.
“I appreciate the opportunity to teach from a Biblical worldview. I feel called to help develop students be Christian nurses who are lights in the darkness as they hold forth the Word of Life. Nursing is a field in which you can show the compassion and love of God to those who are in need, and I love being able to foster that mindset in my students.” – Ann Schmoeckel
