Miss Janet Tschida co-teaches the sixth grade Sunday School class at Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown where she also participates in their music program. She enjoys biking, playing tennis, walking her dog, going to the lake, or sitting around a campfire. She cheers for the Packers and loves to visit the Caribbean.
Janet Tschida has had experience as music instructor since 1998. She taught at White House of Music from 1998-2001 and was on the faculty at Waukesha County Conservatory of Music (Hartland, Wisconsin) from 2001-2008. She has been involved in music at Maranatha since 2001 where she is currently an Associate Professor for the university teaching pedagogy and keyboard courses as well as supervising pedagogy internships. She is also the director of Maranatha Music Prep School, a community music school for early childhood music classes, theory classes, ensembles, and private lessons on piano, strings, winds, and voice. Additionally, she oversees MBU’s High School Piano Competition and tracks for Great Lakes Music Festival and Music Camp, all sponsored by Maranatha. She maintains active memberships with the Music Teachers National Association (nationally certified), the American College of Musicians, and the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association.
