He and his wife, Mary, have seven children and six grandchildren (and expecting more). In his spare time, Mr. Steinbart enjoys photography, bicycle riding, and woodworking. The Steinbarts attend First Baptist Church in Hartford, Wisconsin where he teaches in the Junior Church, serves as a Greeter, is one of the Deacons, and functions as the Church Treasurer.

Before coming to Maranatha, Ray Steinbart spent 24 years serving in the military, retiring as a Lieutenant-Colonel. Mr. Steinbart was a Combat Engineer but also served in the information systems field in various capacities. In 2002, he came to Maranatha to teach and to serve as a technical support specialist. He has been teaching computer courses since 2007 both on campus and for Maranatha Online.
