Maranatha is an educational institution that prays for and desires God’s best for current and former students. We work diligently to maintain high quality, competitive, and cost-sensitive educational programs. We recognize that student loans can become an added burden to our students and graduates during difficult economic times. Our 20+ years of regional accreditation has assisted students and alumni in gaining access to Pell Grant and other federal student aid programs as well as thousands of graduate school options. It also played a vital role in our nursing program achieving program accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), which enhances employment and postgraduate opportunities for nursing majors.

Today, we have more good news for you and other alumni. Maranatha has recently identified two federal loan payback programs that may prove beneficial for graduates who earn lower wage rates and/or now work for certain non-profit organizations or in public service.

The Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program and the Income-Based Repayment Plan (IBR) can help you meet your student loan obligations. Through IBR, your monthly payments may be reduced to a comfortably manageable rate based on your monthly income and the size of your family. The Loan Forgiveness Program allows any remaining balance on your loan to be completely forgiven after 120 timely monthly payments (10 years at the reduced rate). These programs can greatly assist those in full-time ministry, including Christian school teachers.

Our purpose is to help you be effective stewards of the resources God has provided. Call the Development Office (920-206-2325) or email us with any questions. Maranatha is accredited under the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) of the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Maranatha’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036, (202) 887-6791.
