Taking advantage of a soccer clinic in Indianapolis, host Dr. Matt Davis and substitute co-host Coach Jeff Pill interviewed Pastor Andrew Solarek for this episode. Andrew is on staff at Southeast Baptist Tabernacle, working with music and youth. Dr. Davis’s questions address Andrew’s experiences as a college student heavily engaged in multiple sports, music, and extension. Answers reveal Andrew’s driving goal to do his best in all endeavors, aligning with Colossians 3:23, his life verse. Coach Pill reflects on ways the Lord used Andrew to encourage him personally and to help in his transition at Maranatha, and Andrew explains his pastoral duties, how he has grown, and how the Lord provided opportunity for outreach through coaching soccer in a public high school and establishing the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a student-led Bible club. This leads to dialogue concerning balanced priorities and the ultimate account each of us must give someday.
