Meet Dr. Tom and Cherie Graham in this episode. Tom is a pastor and Christian school administrator from Poplar Bluff, Missouri, who has accepted Maranatha’s invitation to serve as Dean of the School of Education. Often the Lord’s plans differ from ours, as Tom attests. Sensing the Lord wanted him in fulltime ministry, he resisted until his second semester of college. After graduate work, he joined the church staff where he had done internship. Though hired for children’s ministry, he became increasingly more involved in their Christian school. Desiring only church ministry, he became an assistant pastor in a church without a school, but the Lord was working His will, and the pastor there commissioned Tom to start a school. Thus began the Grahams’ life work in Christian education, with Cherie returning to college to complete her undergraduate work and to pursue a master’s degree through MBU’s online programs.
