Tim Mielke was born and raised in Minnesota until high school and still remains a strong Minnesota Twins and Vikings supporter. Since 2009, Mielke has been a member at Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown, WI, where he has been heading up the PowerPoint presentations of the Audio Visual Ministry. Recently he heads up the Calvary Baptist softball team in the Watertown league and serves as a deacon. He is married to his wife, Nancy, and they have four young children. When not teaching, you can find Tim photographing, playing sports, or attending a Sabercat athletic event with family.

Before coming to Maranatha, Tim was the campus photographer and photography teacher at Pillsbury Baptist Bible College for two and a half years. He also started Milky Way Photography in 2006 to help remain relevant in classroom instruction. His portfolio consists of Dust to Life ~ The Visual Gospel, weddings, portraits, and sports (NFL, NCAA D1) photography. In 2009, Mielke came to Maranatha to teach photography and video classes. He became Assistant Professor in 2011 and now teaches classes largely within the Communication Arts, Digital Media Marketing, and Photography programs. He served as the Director of Photography for the Maranatha Communications Office from 2009-2018.
