Rob Fuller Joins Student Life as Dean of Men

Pastor Rob Fuller will be joining the Maranatha Baptist University Student Life Office as the Dean of Men in the Fall of 2022. Fuller will replace Tim Johns who is transitioning to serve as a full-time faculty member in the College of Bible & Church Ministries.

Fuller is relocating from Wichita, Kansas, with his wife, Heidi, and their five children, where he has served as the Associate Pastor of Music at Calvary Baptist Church in Derby for the last 14 years.

Fuller, who holds an MA in Biblical Counseling from Maranatha Baptist Seminary and a BS in Bible and Music from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College has served extensively in discipleship ministry and counseling with teens and college-aged young people. His passion for serving others has been the hallmark of his life and ministry and something he looks forward to continuing in his role as the Dean of Men.

In addition to his role in the Dean’s office, Fuller has been appointed the new head coach for MBU Men’s Basketball.

Mark Herbster, Dean of Maranatha Baptist Seminary and Director of Student Discipleship, states, “Hiring a Dean of Men who is also the basketball coach is a strategic move for us at MBU. With athletic and pastoral experience, Rob Fuller is very suited to this position and will be able to build a culture of relationship-building and spiritual depth. I noticed immediately that Rob loves people and he also loves the game of basketball. He will be able to encourage and exemplify men of God who can compete on the court and lead for Christ on campus!”

“Rob’s passion for God, love for the local church, and burden to see young men grow to be godly leaders make him an ideal fit for our Student Life team,” Dr. Andrew Goodwill, Dean of Students, expounded. “I am excited to see how God works through his ministry in the coming years.”

Fuller will be assuming his responsibilities in the Fall of 2022.
