Mr. Steve Board joined the MBU staff in January 2012, and he is currently the Director of Development and a full-time faculty member in the School of Business. 

Steve has been a Youth Leader at First Baptist Church in Clarkston, Michigan, and then at Bible Baptist Church in Hampton, Georgia. While in Georgia he had the opportunity to spend every Saturday night working with inmates at a local Federal Transfer Prison. Currently, Steve co-leads Sunday School for the Young Marrieds class at Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown, Wisconsin. Additionally, he frequently provides Financial Stewardship Seminars at churches.   

Steve has more than thirty-five (35) years of experience in business including eight (8) years working in Facility Management at Chrysler Corporation. He also has experience working as a Marketing and Sales professional for several businesses, including: Contract Furnishings Dealerships, Barton Malow Company, and Carter Brothers.

Steve and his wife, Pat have been married since 1973. They have three grown children, all of whom graduated from Maranatha: Stefanie, ’00 (Andrew, ‘00) Broere; Bryan, ’03 (Kayce, ’11); and Alex ’09 & ’11 (Brittany).  Steve and Pat also greatly enjoy their six (6) grandchildren and traveling.  Steve likes his wheat pasta with marinara sauce and his steak cooked medium-well.
