Dr. William Licht

Professor

Dr. Licht Joined the MBU faculty in 1993 after spending 12 years as a Christian School teacher and administrator. Over the years, he has served as a full-time history professor, Chair of the Humanities Department (2008), Dean of the School of Education (2009-2014), and Vice President for Academic Affairs (2014-2024). Since retiring from administrative work, Dr. Licht has continued to teach a select group of undergraduate and graduate courses.

MORE ABOUT WILLIAM LICHT

Family: Will married his lovely wife Susan in 1980. Together they have four children and six grandchildren.

Other activities and interests: In his free time, Will enjoys various other activities such as fishing, hiking, bicycling, and visiting national parks. He cheers for the Sabercats and the Dodgers, and enjoys reading. Some of his favorite books include 1776, The Boys in the Boat, and My Grandfather’s Son.

Church Ministry: Will and Susan are active in their local church. Will is a deacon and leads a home Bible study.
