As the Chief Executive Officer for Maranatha Baptist University, Dr. Matt Davis serves in leadership over all operational and academic units. He earned a business management degree from Maranatha and a law degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law. His work to serve the Lord through legal ministry led him to Wisconsin in 2007, where he founded the Davis Law Firm in Watertown and assisted in the founding of Eternal Vision. He also joined the MBU family as an adjunct professor.

In the summer of 2010, Dr. Davis began serving full-time at Maranatha as Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness and Corporate Counsel. Just over a year later, he became Executive Vice President. Dr. Davis transitioned at the start of 2021 to serve as Maranatha’s Chief Executive Officer. For over twenty years, Dr. Davis has taught MBU’s Christian Worldviews course and similar adult classes in his local church, actively working to influence those around him to think like Christians.
