Music Festivals - Maranatha Baptist University

Train under master composers and alongside Maranatha’s student musicians for a day in a town near you. Practice and enhance your skills through exciting workshops and rehearsals and work toward a common goal—the “grand finale,” a special evening concert featuring the combined efforts of all festival participants.

FESTIVALS ON THE ROAD

Join us for a high school band event with the Maranatha Baptist University Symphonic Band, directed by Dr. David Brown. Open to seventh through twelfth grade students.

SAMPLE SCHEDULE

9:00 AM Arrive and check-in

9:30 AM Festival start time

Spend the day playing your instrument alongside college musicians, fellow classmates, and new friends.
Learn instrument techniques and new music.
Lunch provided by the church.

5:00 PM Supper provided by the church

6:00 PM Concert

Head home

COST & DETAILS

Open to 7th – 12th graders.

Cost $15 (includes the festival and MBU t-shirt)

Dress for the day is business casual.

Please bring “all black” to wear for the evening concert.

Guys: black dress pants and black collared shirt.
Ladies: floor-length black dress or floor-length skirt/top.
