Alumni Plaza
The Alumni Plaza serves as a testament to the true “brick and mortar” of MBU—those who established the vision of Maranatha and those graduates, churches, businesses, and individuals from around the world who continue to support its mission. Each commemorative brick becomes an important part of the Alumni Plaza and adds an enduring element to a setting everyone can enjoy. The initial installation of the bricks was completed in July 2017, and the opening of the Alumni Plaza took place in August 2017 during Alumni weekend, just in time for the 50th year celebration of MBU.
Extending nearly 26 feet by 40 feet from the west side of Old Main, this granite brick patio provides a beautiful setting to recognize or memorialize alumni and friends of Maranatha Baptist University. The Alumni Plaza enhances the campus and newly renovated solarium space, which now features a gabled rooftop and fireplace.
Share a Tribute
Consider memorializing an Maranatha graduate or friend of the University by purchasing a brick and having it engraved with a name and graduation date or special tribute.
The Bricks
The Alumni Association logo is engraved on a 16-inch by 16-inch brick and has been placed in the center of the Plaza. Bordering the Plaza are 8-inch by 8-inch bricks sponsored by supporting churches, camps, schools, businesses and organizations.
Churches, Christian schools, and businesses may purchase 8-inch by 8-inch bricks. The remaining 8-inch by 8-inch or 4-inch by 8-inch bricks are available for purchase by individuals, families, or couples.
Brick orders placed through the end of May will be engraved and placed within the Alumni Plaza in the summer.
