EDUC 545 – Exceptionality in Student Learning

Introduces the practice of special education in today’s schools. The content will allow students to analyze characteristics of individuals with learning and behavioral and cognitive disabilities, as well as the implications of learner differences for the legal and professional responsibilities of classroom teachers. Students will examine general principles of instruction that can help improve exceptional students’ access to the general education curriculum. Prerequisite project EDUC 236 or EDUC 545 or equivalent undergraduate project.
